'山水 / Sansui' was made while I was in in Japan 2015. I knew Norihito's music and got in touch with him a few months earlier. As soon as I told him about my travel to Japan he suggested we'd meet to make music together.

I was staying at a nice, spacious apartment at the outskirts of Kyoto. Norihito and I met in the morning at a nearby train station. It was a warm day, we went visiting temples with beautiful gardens, had an amazing lunch and made fieldrecordings in a park.

In the afternoon, we went to a recording studio next to the Kamo river, where we recorded 'Sansui'. We took a break when the evening fell, we were sitting on the river bank watching people and drinking Japanese beer.

‘山水 / Sansui’ was released in 2019 by Home Normal:
